Caravans are not typically associated with luxury. In the best-case scenario, they offer a small bed to sleep on, a compact but sufficient shower and kitchen for cooking, and the basic essentials for life on the move. However, the way of life for nomads may experience a significant transformation in the near future. This is due to a set of innovative moodboards produced by Ulises Design studio in Berlin, which have been generated using artificial intelligence and showcase the potential of what caravans could become.
These futuristic caravans, created with the help of the AI tool Midjourney, go beyond the traditional concept of a mobile home. With features like living rooms, study areas, bedrooms, and even a rooftop terrace, they resemble more like mobile towers. The AI-generated designs are diverse, ranging from modernist to retro-futuristic, catering to various aesthetic preferences.
The limitations of practicality are clear: maneuvering these caravans in a modern city would be impossible, from navigating under overpasses to changing a tire. Nevertheless, Kinetic Kingdoms, the series that includes these futuristic designs, offers a vision for community-based living. Studio founder Ricardo Orts explains, “By embracing a more nomadic lifestyle, we can explore new ways of living that are both exciting and sustainable, all while fostering a sense of community and connection with the world around us.”
