Argentine photographer Irina Werning has crafted a distinctive photo series focusing on portraits of women with long hair. Titled “Dear Long Hair,” this project has been her passion for the past 17 years, showcasing both children and adults. Werning shared that the inspiration for this project stems from the belief in many indigenous communities that hair represents our thoughts and is an extension of ourselves, mirroring Mother Earth’s growth and flow in nature. This deep spiritual connection to the Earth has led these communities to practice reverence, humility, and reciprocity.
