Photographer Freddy Fabris longed to honor the Renaissance masters through his photography, yet he lacked a concrete approach until he chanced upon an auto-mechanic shop in the Midwest. In his own words: “Converting painting into portrait photography presented an exhilarating endeavor. I aimed to preserve the essence of the original oil paintings while devising a conceptual photographic concept that would add a fresh dimension.” Consequently, this gave rise to a remarkable collection of amusing portraits featuring auto mechanics, which can be viewed here.
