Photographer Patryk Biegański shares his experience of capturing rare winter moments in Polish cities, particularly Kraków. He describes the city as a fusion of architectural styles and enjoys walking through its snow-covered medieval streets.
Living in Kraków’s historic center, he appreciates the city’s architecture, history, and cultural scene, frequently exploring its ancient streets, buildings, and churches with his camera. Despite the difficulties of capturing photos in snowy or rainy weather, he successfully captures the moment by adjusting ISO values and aperture settings. His photographs, often likened to enchanting landscapes, aim to showcase the world’s beauty.
He creates a mystic atmosphere in his winter photographs through careful timing and techniques that add a gentle touch to the images. He nostalgically remembers the last winter when Kraków turned into a captivating city covered in snow. Nevertheless, he recognizes the impermanence of these moments caused by climate changes and makes an effort to fully embrace the snowy winter season.
