“Winter” marks Scott’s third seasonal time-lapse film, following the success of his previous works, “Fall” and “Spring”.

This ambitious project required Scott to scout locations across New York State and Montreal, Canada. The harsh winter conditions in these regions tested his resilience and pushed his equipment to the limit.
The filmmaker explains, “Because of the nature of snow falling and ice freezing, Winter is more frenetic and fast-paced than my other two films. It is by far the hardest piece I have ever produced.”
To capture the intricate beauty of winter’s transformation, Scott had to employ multiple cameras and sliders simultaneously. At times, he found himself operating up to six cameras and four sliders, tirelessly working to capture every fleeting moment.
However, the challenges didn’t end there. Scott also faced the unfortunate loss of two drones during the filmmaking process, a testament to the risks he was willing to take to create this extraordinary piece of art.
