Alexandru Radu Popescu is a photographer who explores national identity and individuality in his project UNIC. He draws inspiration from four photographers who captured iconic figures and state leaders, aiming to depict the personalities and lifestyles of his subjects.

He used trees as hair extensions for his portraits on walls, experimenting with techniques like shooting the iris and merging portraits with it. Despite pandemic and lighting obstacles, he was content with his outcomes. He captured Romanian artists and athletes and intends to extend his project worldwide. He selected the title UNIC in Romanian, emphasizing his belief in the uniqueness and wonder of everyone.
