Tito Corbella (1885–1966) was a notable Italian painter known for his work as a postcard designer and poster artist. Originally from Pontremoli in the province of Massa Carrara, he began his academic journey by studying chemistry at the University of Padua. Transitioning to the arts, he furthered his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the guidance of renowned artists Guglielmo Ciardi and Ettore Tito.
While Corbella did dabble in painting, his true passion lied in illustration and poster design. Throughout his career, he ventured into various fields, including advertising and collaborations with Ricordi in Milan, as well as the film industry in Rome, where he eventually passed away in 1966. Corbella’s postcards, which depicted elegant women and romantic couples, are still celebrated today for capturing the essence of the era.
