René Ravo, born in 1904, was a notable French poster designer and illustrator. Despite a difficult start, he gained recognition for his industrial-themed designs. Beginning his career in the 1920s, Ravo worked for various agencies and eventually established his own studio in Paris. He created numerous advertisements for major brands until the 1960s when photography became more popular in the industry. Ravo passed away in 1998 at the age of 93, leaving behind a remarkable collection of posters from the 1930s to the 1960s.
