Nguyen Dac Chung is a Vietnamese architecture student who, with the aid of his team of friends, dedicated six months to building his own Batpod. Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s legendary film, The Dark Knight, Chung spent more than a year meticulously planning and researching the design before beginning his ambitious project.

Chung has created a remarkable, 3-meter-long, 80cm-wide, and 90cm-high replica of Batman’s Batpod. This two-wheeled vehicle, constructed primarily of iron with a steel chassis and plastic armrests and guns, weighs a substantial 250kg and is equipped with an electric engine capable of reaching a maximum speed of 30km/h. Additionally, this DIY Batpod prioritizes road safety, ensuring that it is a one-of-a-kind and extraordinary ride on Hanoi’s streets.

Chung approximates that the project’s total expenditure was about 200 million dong ($8,500), a relatively economical cost for a visually appealing automobile. The majority of the funding was provided by the student’s cosplay costume enterprise. Ever since he was a child, he has been a devoted follower of The Dark Knight and has always aspired to possess a superhero’s car. Now, he has transformed that aspiration into reality.
